FAMILY TIME ON OAHU

Fran's parents (Frank and Asae) and her sister Mary and brother in law Wayne have been with us here on Oahu for the past 9 days. They headed home to British Columbia late last night. We had a wonderful time together and it was particularly special as Fran's parents are both 88 years old and have done very little travel in their lives. They really enjoyed the wide range of activities and experiences as well as the spectacular weather.

Several earlier posts showed some of the activities at the start of their visit. Over the past few days, we also managed to fit in:
Shopping at Ala Moana Centre with lunch at the Japanese Food Court
Royal Hawaiian Band Concert at the Kapiolani Park Bandshell
Tour of the Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific
Dinner at the Thai Lao Restaurant in Kapolei
Extended Happy Hour aboard Ingrid's boat "Ocean Queen"
Rode the only train on Oahu operated by the Hawaiian Train Society

Below are a few pics of these activities
How wonderful!
